Started behind the counter
GetTheTan began at Beautano, our sunbed salon in Glasgow. Customers kept asking which cream to buy, the shelf kept selling out, and eventually we developed our own range. Every formula still earns its place the same way: over that counter, one honest recommendation at a time.
The counter
Beautano is a working sunbed salon, not a brand story. The creams on this site are the ones that got recommended, restocked and asked for by name over its counter — that's how the range earned the right to exist.
The rule
Stuart's rule from day one: if it streaks, it doesn't make the shelf. Every formula gets used and tested at the salon before it's sold. If it doesn't apply evenly, smell right and dry fast, it never reaches the shelf.
